From the very beginning of the fourth campaign, recently appointed game master Brennan Mulligan has kept viewers on edge with rich lore, a colorful mix of personalities, and a gripping narrative showcasing angels, evil spirits, and sinister influences growing in power within the city.
Warning: Revealing details for Episode 3 of this adventure follow below.
The Combat-Oriented Party Revealed
The latest chapter finished on a huge suspense moment and revealed the first table of adventurers who will split off from the primary party to undertake their separate journey, distinct from the additional parties.
The Soldiers table includes Teor Pridesire (brought to life by Travis), the nimble rogue (Laura), the fierce warrior (the cast member), Wicander (Sam), and the mysterious adventurer (Robbie).
Dividing the Cast
Given an extensive roster, it was clear from the beginning that keeping everyone at one table would be unfeasible.
Hence, the first four episodes of Campaign 4 serve as an Introduction, intertwining the individual narratives before branching into three separate parties: Soldiers, Strategists, and Questers.
The Nature of the Warrior Group
According to Brennan Lee Mulligan, the Soldiers table is for adventurers who enjoy a classically intense fight-heavy narrative style where diplomatic options are rare.
Upon first impression, figures such as the squeamish cleric the cleric might appear out of place, but the actions of the latest installment make it clear why these specific adventurers are ideally matched for the warrior group.
Reasons to Leave
To begin with, the group knows exactly where to proceed after a intense first encounter with the enemy group.
Casimir of the deceased character—whose death initiated the campaign’s events—used The Crow Keepers for his personal gain, entering Thjazi’s hideout, attacking the rogue, and stealing all the magical artifacts to dispose of.
Casimir then cleared his liabilities and fled to a Halovar stronghouse in the remote area, beyond Dol-Makjar, with Cyd Pridesire pursuing him.
Personal Motivations
Additionally, each member has a personal reason to depart the urban setting:
- The rogue, as the companion and best friend, desires retribution.
- The knowledgeable figure knows Timmony and advises that it is a nasty environment.
- The strong character and Wicander, having resisted his family’s wishes to eliminate Teor and instead saved him, have no safe haven.
- But, their reputation as key figures in the influential clan could help the party reach locations they typically wouldn’t be able to.
- Moreover, The grateful character vowed a unbreakable promise to The savior for his salvation and will now go with him everywhere.
Fugitives
Lastly, all of them are wanted by the powers that govern the setting for a multiple motives, making staying in the city no longer safe:
- The agile adventurer and The hero are notorious outlaws.
- Tyranny and Wicander turned against the powerful family and the legion of demons they are aligned with.
- The target is marked for death by the clan.
This leaves them few options but to journey toward Timmony in search of the antagonist.
